Find yourself again

Life is messy — it’s easy to lose yourself in the turbulence. I’ll help you find your way.

I’m Debra Johnson, a Registered Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists who’s been in practice for 18 years. I work with both adults and adolescents with diverse mental health concerns, including depression, anxiety, eating disorders and trauma. My practice is based in central Calgary.

I believe that healing is about connecting to your whole self — and that you have everything you need within you to do that. My approach is collaborative. I provide the guidance to help you reconnect, allowing you the time and space to understand what’s overwhelming you and reclaim your wisdom and self.

Individual therapy

Is it a challenge just to get out of bed in the morning? Does life feel flat or out of control? Have you adopted unhealthy behaviours to escape? We’ll explore your big picture and connect the dots to understand the roots of your issues. You’ll rediscover “you” and learn how to move forward with balance and intention.

Nature-based workshop

In the busyness of our everyday lives, we tend to run on autopilot. You may feel like you’re going through the motions, losing touch with yourself. Nature helps you slow down and listen to what your emotions are telling you. In this two-day group retreat, you’ll find the stillness to reflect on what really matters to you.

Support group for helping professionals

People who help others for a living are often so focused on their clients they forget about their own well-being. If your work feels heavy or you’ve become disillusioned by it, these weekly online sessions with peers will renew your passion for your work and offer self-care strategies to keep you inspired.
